Branch Leader
Madison Square Location

As the Branch Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at the location, supporting Customer Service Representatives/Insurance Brokers by ensuring that all processes and procedures are clearly understood and followed. You will ensure that employees are treated in a fair manner, are properly trained, and are scheduled based on the operational needs of the branch and their own work/life balance, as well as cooperate with other locations regarding staffing coverage.

The Branch Leader works closely with Human Resources, Insurance Services, and the Operations team as necessary regarding any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities will be:

  • Provide appropriate insurance products and services based on customer needs and in accordance with the Insurance Company’s standards
  • Prepare and communicate all policy documentation, letters, certificates, binders of insurance, endorsements and renewals in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work with customers regarding annual renewals, account-related requests, payment options, concerns, and claims
  • Attend, participate in, and conduct Operations, Branch and other training/meetings as necessary
  • Ensure balancing, bank deposits and accounts receivable are done accurately and timely
  • Coordinate scheduling for the branch, working with other locations and/or corporate office regarding scheduling issues]
  • Provide training to new and existing staff, including ensuring employee understanding of Reider policies and procedures
  • Recruit, train, assign duties, conduct performance reviews and provide a positive, engaging work environment

As the ideal candidate you possess:

  • Are able to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings and Saturdays
  • Level 2 General Insurance License or above
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring and training a team
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers sensitively, diplomatically and professionally
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with employees and clients quickly
  • Genuinely enjoy working with the public
  • Extensive Insurance Company experience, including portals and Autopac
  • TAM experience is an asset
