We recruit for a wide variety of Business Development and sales roles, along with the roles that support them including risk management, compliance, finance, accounting, legal, IT and human resources, amongst others.  We are currently recruiting for a Level 1 or Level 2 Licensed Insurance Broker with IWS Certification and experience filling a 17-week term position.

Job Profile: 17 Week Term Position – Licensed Broker with IWS Certification

The Autopac Insurance Representative will carry out a wide range of duties as assigned to ensuring superior customer service to all new and existing clients. The primary responsibility in this role is the processing of auto insurance transactions. The Insurance Representative must be solution oriented and able to identify client insurance needs, providing information and expert knowledge on insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other features best suited to meet individual client needs.  Other key areas of responsibility will be the recommendation and processing of client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collection of payments.  Data entry and account reconciliation on various software and broker management systems is required.  This position will be in an environment which will require significant computer aptitude and insurance knowledge in the specific lines of business in order to work fluently in both the broker management system and IWS (MPI) broker program.  Autopac Insurance Representatives will continue to develop ongoing business relationships with clients while maintaining a quality professional and personal image of the company.  As an Autopac Insurance Representative, you will be responsible for learning and navigating the broker management system for completing the set-up of new client accounts, processing transactions in the broker management system in accordance with corporate policies and procedures while adhering to company service standards.  This position will require individuals to continually develop ongoing profitable relationships with clients while maintaining a quality professional and personal image of the company.  The Autopac Insurance Representative must work effectively with all members of insurance teams to obtain a clear understanding of our client’s insurance needs.  The Autopac Insurance Representative must also be pro-active with their daily contributions to the day to day tasks of the department or branch office.

Qualifications/Skills:

Applicants must hold a minimum Agent/Broker Level 1 General Insurance license from the ICM with IWS Certification & MPI Autopac experience.

  • Applicants should hold a minimum Agent/Broker Level 1 General Insurance
  • IWS certification with a minimum of 1 (one) year experience required
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in MS products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point (Evidence of proficiency may be required)
  • Superior time management, organization and process management skills that ensure consistent quality of service delivery
  • Ability to effectively multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to learn on a continual basis developing and supporting professional and technical skills including leadership and communication skills
  • Possess a proactive approach to problem solving and forward thinking with respect to potential issues and problem solving within the day to day activities of the branch office
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing with ability to professionally present ideas and concepts verbally and visually to clients, insurers and team members
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent phone skills with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment with a strong cohesive approach
