About Our Manager, Brokerage Operations Role

We are seeking a Manager, Brokerage Operations who builds relationships with a broad range of people, with a proven track record in development of talent and assisting employees in their career growth. This individual has demonstrated strong leadership skills in developing their insurance career and will make Member safety their top priority.

Position Overview

As a Manager, Brokerage Operations you will act as the primary Property and Casualty insurance leader for CAA’s owned brokerages, build and maintain relationships with insurers, and be responsible for the overall achievement growth of financial targets. You will advocate externally with insurance companies to ensure objectives, policies and procedures are being met along with contract and portfolio management.

As a Manager, Brokerage Operations, you will be responsible to work directly with the Insurance Council of Manitoba and Superintendent of Insurance. You will also be responsible for overseeing the entire Broker audit process, the Broker mentoring program and participate heavily in the attraction, assessment and development of new hires. Your ongoing leadership, coaching and mentoring teams in multiple locations, as well as cultivating an environment that supports career growth and succession planning will make you a key success in this role.

Requirements

  • Completion of a post-Secondary education, coupled with a completed CAIB Designation
  • CIP Designation or working towards
  • 5+ years insurance product knowledge and experience within the Insurance Industry
  • Recent experience managing Brokers selling AutoPac or IWS certified
  • Have the proven ability to have a big picture focus, with strong personal drive to make a difference
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to function effectively in other industry based software applications
  • Working knowledge of a Broker Management system, preferably TAM
  • Demonstrated excellent communicator
