SUMMARY:IBAM-Wawanesa Mutual Insurance 'Tell Us Something Good'
DESCRIPTION:-- IBAM Members! We know that you do a lot to help the commun
ities you live and work in. --\n\nInsurance Brokers do a lot to help the
communities they live and work in.\n\nTo celebrate this, IBAM and Wawan
esa teamed up to offer a promotion where one lucky IBAM Broker Member,
Colleen Brosch, won 4 Jets tickets to the game on December 20th! \n\nOn
behalf of IBAM and Wawanesa, we would like to thank everyone for partic
 ipating!\n\n \n\n-- Submissions Included: --\n\n-- Extend Insurance - C
ommunity Pickleball Courts --\n\n \n\n"Members of Extend Insurance volu
nteered their time and donated supplies to paint 3 pickleball court line
s onto the Winkler Curling Club surface. This allowed many different gro
ups to play while the outdoor court in Winkler got resurfaced over the s
ummer. In the future summers, this will allow for the growing sport of p
ickleball to thrive in our community, as there was limited court availab
ility prior to painting these courts. This was also done to support the
local curling club, as this allows for a revenue stream in the summer, w
hen the building used to sit empty."\n\n \n\n-- HUB International - Can
cer Care Golf Tournament Sponsor --\n\n \n\n"HUB International was a sp
onsor at the Zach Berezowsky Memorial Classic Golf Tournament. The tourn
ament helped raise over $10,000 for Cancer Care Manitoba!"\n\n--   --\n
\n-- Western Financial Group - Volunteering at Ronal McDonald House --\n
\n"Staff from Western Financial Group volunteered at the Ronald McDonald
House. They were able to cook, host and serve dinner to 31 families. Th
ey also learned more about all of the incredible things Ronald McDonald
House provides to families in need.\n\n \n\n-- NorthStar Insurance & Re
al Estate - Volunteering in the community --\n\n \n\n"I enjoy volunteer
ing my time within my community.  During the summer, I had the opportun
ity to work the gate at the Gilbert Plains/Grandview Rodeo for the after
noon/evening.  I grew up in Gilbert Plains, so it was nice to see a lot
of familiar faces. I was also part of the Roblin Parade this summer as
part of the Fusion/NorthStar team riding on the cube bike for the Roblin
Fair and Rodeo. That was definitely a first for me, and I have to say t
hat going uphill was more difficult than you would think!"\n\n--   --\n
\n-- Interlake Insurance - Volunteering at Canadian Blood Service Donor
Clinics --\n\n"Interlake Insurance staff members have been volunteering
at the Canadian Blood Services donor clinics for about 10 years now. The
mobile donor clinics are held in Gimli four times a year. We participat
e by being there to give out snacks, juice, water and keep an eye on the
donors after they have given blood. It is a lot of fun chatting with do
nors about everything from the weather, sports, the news to how many tim
es they have donated blood. Being at the clinic and interacting with the
donors gives us a chance to give back to the community that supports us
."\n\n \n\n-- Apex Surety & Insurance Ltd. - Habitat For Humanity Build
--\n\n \n\n"Apex staff & management participates in Habitat for Humani
ty builds each year, 2023 included. It’s great to see how our hard wor
k helps people in our community especially when we’ve worked alongside
the people who are directly benefitting from Habitat. It’s a great ca
use."\n\n-- Amazing work everyone and thank you for participating! --\n\
