  each team plays 18 holes and can participate in a Putting Green Contest

 ------------------------------\n\n-- Tournament History  --\n\nThe IBAM
 -YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament was created in 2013 and is run
  in honour of Dale Rempel, Past-President of IBAM and IBAC, and a fierce
  advocate and leader for the insurance industry. After a courageous batt
 le with brain cancer, Dale passed away in 2012. The IBAM Golf Tournament
  was then renamed in 2013 and from 2013-2023, all proceeds from the tour
 nament were donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, with over $200,00
 0 being donated to CancerCare research.\n\nIn 2024, IBAM created the IBA
 M Membership Community Champion Award; an award that recognizes and cele
 brates one broker or brokerage who goes above and beyond for their commu
 nity. This award is given out at the IBAM Convention in April, with the 
 winner receiving a certificate of recognition and having the honour of c
 hoosing the charity-of-choice for the upcoming Dale Rempel Memorial Golf
  Tournament that year.\n\nThe 2026 recipient of the IBAM Membership Cha
 mpion Award is Western Financial Group, and the charity-of-choice for th
 e 2026 IBAM-YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament is The Children's H
 ospital Foundation.\n\n-------------------------------------------------
