Job Description / Duties

We are looking for an energetic, experienced individual to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and service of personal lines business. A focus on cross-sales of other insurance products will be critical for success.
Responsibilities:
• Gathering information from clients to access their insurance needs, either in-person, electronically or over-the-phone
• Researching policy information from various insurance companies
• Arranging insurance coverage for clients (processing quotations & new business)
• Negotiating with insurers for the best terms and premium
• Renewing or changing existing policies (endorsements & riders)
• Collecting premiums and invoicing accounts
• Advising clients making a claim
• Inputting/Updating data in The Agency Manager
• Sending letters to clients and keeping detailed records on file
• Preparing reports for insurance underwriters (ex. Compu-quote/Powerhouse evaluations)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications:
• Experience in personal lines insurance is required
• Applicants must hold a Level 2 Agent/Broker General Insurance licence with at least one year of personal lines experience.
• A criminal record check and bonding application will be required
• Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office products and TAM/Epic would be considered an asset
