The Senior Commercial Insurance Specialist is licensed to represent property, casualty and or commercial lines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• This position is licensed to represent property, casualty and or commercial lines
• Writes complex risks with multiple locations and large property values
• Retention should be no less than 80%; growth on book no less than 5%
• Service a business and commercial book of 1.5M in premium
• Underwrites a variety of insurance policies relating to commercial lines to ensure businesses are covered for risks facing their operations such as fire, professional liability, business interruption and errors and omissions; requiring completion of Level II Insurance License, retains signing authority to bind the agency to individual policies.
• Identifies needs of commercial clients and provides information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
• Can process personal lines policies; contracts include items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry.
• Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Brio Insurance products and services.
• Responds to emergencies and assists clients with their claims.
• No formal supervisory responsibilities, but may supervise the activities of Level I licensees on an ad hoc basis. Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participates in regular staff meetings.
• Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment. 
• Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention. 

Essential Qualifications
• Hold or working towards completing a Level 3 Brokers license
• Business and Commercial experience
• Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 
• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy 
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure 
• Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions 
• Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services 
• Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures 
• Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry 
• Proficient computer skills
