Guild/HMS Insurance Group is always looking to add good people to its team and is currently accepting applications for a full-time position as an Auto Broker.

THE JOB

AUTOPAC & DRIVER LICENSING TRANSACTIONS:

  • Sell new policies and process renewals and change requests
  • Explain and review coverage to customers
  • Up sell and cross sell coverage (i.e. Special Risk Extension)
  • Prepare premium estimates
  • Sell temporary permits
  • Transfer of Ownership transactions for automobile dealers
  • Process new driver licenses and license renewals
  • Take photographs of customers for driver licensing purposes
  • Gather identity documents (i.e. Birth Certificate) and verify identities of new customers and customers who have moved to Manitoba from out of province
  • Schedule MPI appointments (i.e. road test) for customers

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Sell travel insurance
  • Answer telephones, respond to customer inquiries and document conversations
  • Collect payments
  • Keep insurance knowledge current through training, seminars, etc.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, as required
  • Help others when needed – work as a team
  • Maintain a positive attitude and high level of professionalism when dealing with customers and co-workers
  • Attend meetings, as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Motivated team player with a strong work ethic
  • Well organized
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills (knowledge of IWS and The Broker’s Workstation are assets)
  • Insurance education and experience in the industry are assets, but we are willing to train
