Join us on September 18, 2024 from 12PM-1PM for our upcoming Tech Talk, featuring Tom Reid, IBAC DX Lead, who will be speaking about the benefits of API (Application Programming Interface) connectivity, where it’s at, and how it will benefit your brokerage.
Building off of our Tech Talk with CSIO from June 2024 (view this session here), Tom will discuss the benefit of API technology and how IBAC’s current work with industry partners like CSIO will make it possible to transmit data in real-time, eliminating the need for brokers to double-enter clients’ information into their BMS and carrier portals.

About Tom Reid
Tom has spent more than a quarter of a century in a variety of senior leadership positions in the Canadian P & C industry.
His background includes digital strategy development & implementation, digital marketing, software development, finance, underwriting and business development. Tom has been the COO of a large brokerage, served as the regional head for a large carrier, and was the president of a startup digital technology firm.
Tom continues to be active in the Canadian P & C sector, consulting for various insurance clients, including leading the IBAC initiative to promote broker/carrier connectivity.
Tom also spent a decade volunteering with high performance athletes, including 4 years as President of Ski Jumping Canada which was capped off with the honour of being the Canadian team leader for ski jumping at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
