Job Description / Duties

What will you be doing?

The Senior Property Insurance Specialist I is primarily responsible for processing a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

Key Responsibilities:

This position processes a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.
Processes personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry.
Identifies client needs and provides information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Brio Insurance products and services.
Responds to emergencies and assists clients with their claims.
Writes new policies with multiple locations and boats independently.
Maintain a Personal Lines book in excess of $600K in premium (subject to Manager discretion).
Assist with internal training of new staff and provide supervision when required.
Maintains thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.?

 

Qualifications / Required Skills

What do you need?

Working towards or holding Level 3 Brokers Insurance license
Understands specifics about coverage limitations to; vacant dwellings, seasonal, rentals, Course of Construction and mobile homes etc.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services
Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry
Proficient computer skills
