Kelly Melchor
Kelly Melchor’s professional life has been happily spent in the insurance industry. After graduating from the Asper School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree in Finance and Marketing, she started her career with one of Canada’s largest insurance companies.
Over the years she gathered experience across a multitude of different product lines in various sales, strategy, and senior leadership roles working with large organizations in the insurance and financial services sectors, and garnered enhanced skills and knowledge upon the completion of her Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Innovation Leadership in 2017. She found her home at Winnipeg Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 2018 as their Chief Executive Officer.
In 2023 she obtained the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation after completing a program held at various Ivy-League universities including Wharton, Darden, and Cornell. She served for 6 years on the board of St. Alphonsus School and is currently a part-time instructor for the University of Winnipeg PACE Advanced Business Management program.
Kelly is actively involved in elevating the voice of women in leadership through her work with the Winnipeg Women’s Conference and as co-founder of the WINS (Women in Insurance Navigating Success) program, which focuses on elevating and mentoring women in leadership for the insurance industry.
Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and loves to travel, read, and attend live theatre/entertainment/sporting events.
