I started my journey with the Insurance Industry a little over 2 ½ years ago. I was recruited by Amanda McGregor of Guild Insurance Group my last year at Assiniboine Community College, where I completed my Office Management program, and I haven't looked back. With almost 20 years of customer service under my hat in the Retail and Hospitality industry, I love that I have been able to translate my main passions of connecting with people, and helping others connect with the right products, into my Insurance career. Currently, my focus and responsibilities at Guild Insurance Group has been primarily in our Auto department, servicing our front-line clients with their Auto and Travel insurance needs. I also have had the privilege of partnering with our department manager with the recruiting and training of new team members. Not only do I assist with ensuring our department is exceeding client expectations with expertise of our products and quality of service, but I help our new team members see why Insurance is an amazing career opportunity, and the benefits of the community they are a part of within the industry.

Some of my personal goals and achievements this year has been Graduating with my CAIB designation, which I got to celebrate with everyone at the IBAM Convention this past April. Also, these last few weeks I completed the training and became the KAP at our Guild Insurance Victoria office.

After being approached to join the Young Brokers Network, I have come to learn that it is the goal of YBN to provide opportunities for young brokers to connect and share ideas, to promote education, to make a difference in the community, and to promote the insurance industry as a career option; and I feel like I would be a great fit. As someone who wasn't aware that a career in Insurance was an option until the past few years, I consider myself a huge advocate in promoting our industry to other young adults as a rewarding career option already. In addition, I have been volunteering and serving my community for over 25 years. It has been a privilege to work with young adults and youth at summer camps, to plan and execute fundraisers, to visit and provide recreational entertainment with those in personal care homes. The list goes on. I am a huge believer in serving and giving back to our communities, and the idea that I can continue to serve Manitoba communities, while connecting, sharing idea's, and growing as a Broker with other like minded individuals is an opportunity that I would love to be apart of.
