Tournament History

The IBAM-YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament was created in 2013 and is run in honour of Dale Rempel, Past-President of IBAM and IBAC, and a fierce advocate and leader for the insurance industry. After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Dale Rempel passed away in 2012. In his honour, the IBAM-YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament was created and all proceeds from the tournament were donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. With your help, IBAM has donated over $200,000 to CancerCare research.

New Charity Announcement

Looking forward, the winner of the IBAM Membership Community Champion Award, IBAM's inaugural award, given out at the IBAM Convention in April, will have the honour of choosing the charity-of-choice for the IBAM-YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament. The 2024 recipient of the IBAM Membership Champion Award is Rempel Insurance Brokers, and the charity of choice for the IBAM-YBN Dale Rempel Memorial Golf Tournament for 2024 is STARS.
