2024 IBAM-Wawanesa "Tell Us Something Good"
12:00 AM Nov 1 - 12:00 PM Nov 22, 2024
IBAM-Wawanesa Mutual Insurance "Tell Us Something Good" Campaign took place over the month of November and we got some great submissions!
How it worked:
We asked IBAM members to tell us about a time they or their brokerage did something for their community over 2024, to be entered for a chance to win 4 Jets tickets! It was that simple!
Submission included:
Love & Persson Group
"In April of this year our office sponsored a Community Meal in our community. We used our casual Friday funds that staff pay into quarterly to buy the supplies, then four of us volunteered to serve the food. For a few hours of our time in the evening, we served food to over 200 people in need in the community. It was a very humbling, but worthwhile event. We have decided to try and do this annually with our casual Friday funds, along with our "Adopt a Family" program that we participate in every Christmas."
Guild Insurance Group
"Guild Insurance Group, alongside Wawanesa Insurance, hosted their 2nd annual "Bad Hockey for a Great Cause" event. Team Guild against Team Wawanesa. The event raised $8,000 this year and all proceeds were donated to United Way of Brandon & District."
Wyatt Dowling Insurance
"Every quarter in the year, we at Wyatt Dowling/Western Financial group do a baking event with the Ronald McDonald house to bring a bit of joy to the kids and families staying there for their medical treatments. This October we did just that and baked several different treats for them to enjoy and hopefully brighten their day! It’s such a wonderful feeling to see the kids faces light up as they walk by and see the goodies. We also did a charity food drive for them, and donated $1,500 worth of food for their stock. Seeing the Ronald McDonald House be so compassionate and caring for those in difficult situations is heartwarming, and we are lucky to have them in our community and that we are able to give back to them."
Ball Insurance
"Historically and continuing today, Community Involvement is still a core value of our brokerage. Although we do a variety of charitable and community minded events throughout the year, the one that sticks out to me is that two of our team members volunteered and participated in approx. 15 hours each of service to the local Business Improvement Zone. This included a community cleanup day as well as some beautification of the neighboring community and businesses."
Guild Insurance Group
"In 2024 our brokerage has donated to multiple events and organizations in the community. The one I am most honored to have been a part of this year was the “Holland Ball Diamond Rejuvenation Project”. Guild Insurance donated box seats to a Goldeyes Game for the auction supper, and it was the highest bid Item. The auction and supper raised well over $100,000 dollars. Throughout the years Holland has made plenty of progress renovating the ball diamonds and campground and many other things around the community. I am proud to know that we as a team play a role in making the community better and adding on new areas that bring in people to come visit."
This years' Winner:
One Insurance Group
"This year, ONE Insurance proudly continued our tradition of volunteering for Operation Red Nose St. Malo (and added Steinbach/La Broquerie to our list!). Last year, our team drove countless miles, safely transporting community members from St. Norbert to Vita, Iles Des Chenes to St. Jean-Baptiste, and everywhere in between. Our goal was simple: to help ensure a safe and joyful holiday season by supporting a cause that makes a real impact on road safety. As a Platinum sponsor (x2), we’re committed to giving back and championing responsible choices within our communities. We have volunteered once again to host a “Ride Night” with ORN St. Malo."
Amazing work by everyone! Thank you.
