What the day will look like

Reviews endorsements, cover notes and certificates of insurance to ensure their accuracy and completion in support of the team’s service plan;
Providing telephone / email coverage to Manitoba Commercial MPI Auto Clients
Defines general coverage requirements and drafts marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
Receives quotations and processes documentation for policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals;
Co-ordinates information with Associate Account Executive and underwriter to facilitate renewal process;
In collaboration with Associate Account Executive, co-ordinates and supports planning and marketing initiatives for Broker and Account Executive;
Receives applications, prepares quotations, calculates premiums, binds coverage and coordinates applicable documentation;
Under the direction of the Broker, reviews policy documentation to ensure coverage requirements have been met;
Leads by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practices; and
Perform other related duties as assigned.

How this opportunity is different

As an Associate Broker, you will coordinate all aspects of client coverage and marketing and serves as the internal central contact point on an account in support of accurate and responsive insurance coverage.  This role is responsible for defining the general coverage requirements and drafting marketing prospects for renewals and new business.  

Qualifications / Required Skills

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Our ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of insurance experience,  Auto/ MPI focus an asset. They will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
Client focused with proven relationship building skills.
High business acumen and professional presentation skills.
General Insurance Level One (1) License is an asset 
Successful completion or progressing of the MPI Commercial Auto course an asset 
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications/designations (I.e. General Insurance License/ Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Certified Risk Management (CRM)
