Job Description / Duties

Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve individual growth and sales targets as set by the Director of Commercial Insurance.
• Retain and grow a portfolio of Commercial clients.
• Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to new and existing clients.
• Market and place coverage with insurance providers, conduct annual coverage reviews, and assist with claims.
• Prospect and present proposals to new clients.
• Submit new business to insurance markets and respond to underwriter inquiries.
• Maintain strong client relationships through in-person visits and ongoing communication.
• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in community and industry events to enhance visibility and engagement.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Ideal Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum 2+ years of insurance industry experience, preferably in Commercial Insurance.
• Strong knowledge of various risk classes and ability to manage both large and small accounts.
• In-depth understanding of insurance markets, policy wordings, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
• Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and willingness to travel.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Level 2 Insurance License is required.
