I was born and raised in Winnipeg. Like many in the insurance industry, family roots were a big part of the reason I got into the business. My grandparents, Sid & Gladys Reimer founded Lakeview Insurance in 1983. I joined Lakeview Insurance back in 2013 as an Auto & Personal Lines Broker.

I attended the Business Administration program at Red River College and specialized in Human Resources. After graduation in Spring 2016, I spent a few years as a Membership & Accreditation Specialist at Building Professionals. I then moved on to CWB National Leasing where I was an Insurance Claims & Program Administrator for 2 years. My past broker experience was a huge asset in this role and I was fortunate to see how other sides of the insurance industry work. 

I returned to Lakeview Insurance in March 2020 as the Human Resources Manager for the corporation. I helped develop many of the HR practices and procedures as the company doubled in staff within 5 years. Although HR is now my main focus, I am still an active broker and led the Winnipeg Personal Lines & Autopac team for the past 5 years. My number one strength and where I excel the most is listening and helping people. Whether that be the clients, or my staff members. Corporate Culture is a huge mandate for me and I work hard so that the office is a positive and fun place to come to everyday.

As I enter my 12th year in the insurance industry, I look forward to connecting more with my fellow brokers. Having briefly been on the YBN Committee previously, I understand the importance and commitment needed in order to be successful. Late nights at IBAM Convention, travelling to other Lakeview branches, and partaking in lots of other industry events has shown me how necessary (and fun) the social aspect of networking in this business is.

I am excited about sharing the opportunities and careers in the insurance industry to others, and even collaborated with IBAM and MITT to help create the curriculum for an insurance course. I believe insurance creates stable jobs, with a well laid out plan for career development, and more people need to know it is an option in the workforce. 

Outside of work, I am a huge sports fan. Jets, Eagles, and Bulls are my teams. I also have a love for collecting vinyl and the local craft beer scene. Although the best way to spend my time is outside in the pool or at the cottage with my family, 4-year-old daughter Hadley and another baby on the way!
